Life in colours

ABOUT ME
I was born in Leningrad into an artistic family, where my father, a painter and sculptor, became my first teacher and inspiration. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg with a diploma in Architecture-Artist.

Eventually my passion for travel led me to explore new places and cultures. Settling in NL, and then in Italy, I embraced various opportunities to sustain myself through my art, experimenting much. Currently I live and work in Switzerland. For the past 25 years I've collaborated with M. Egetmeyer to create OH-cards, healing playing cards, which have achieved international success.

I've dedicated my life to creating Happy Art. My beloved themes are celebration and joyful interaction among people. I believe that festivities inject a spring of improvisation and irrationality into our rational lives.

My big inspiration is retro photography, working with which I try to connect the past and present, allowing us to peek into something forgotten yet precious in human relationship.

In my art I blend precise sketch and emotional color depth. As an architect I value elegant graphics and compositional order, expressing emotionality of my character through my bold palette.

I find joy in painting people celebrating life, aiming at transmitting the beauty and joy of life through my art.
